We took started the class with a discussion of Cultural Taboos from around the World! Please be sure that you have all of the taboos matched with the appropriate country/description.
You all finished presenting your Cultural Japan mind maps. Well done! You guys were also very quick to recognize some of the stereotypes in our class.
We started our study of Geisha in Japan by watching the first 15 minutes of the documentary "The Secret Life of Geisha". You have been given handouts for the documentary that you will need to complete and hand in!

Day Four
Oh my goodness ... our class is getting oh so big!
The more, the merrier!
Lecture and note-taking: The 'Five A's' of Travel and Tourism:
Attractions, Activities, Access, Accommodation, Amenities
Hmmm... can you describe the difference(s) between Attractions and Activities?
For those of you who were absent because of Ms. Ross' drama workshop, please be sure to get the notes on the 5 A's from a classmate.
Review of the Eurofair Project (the actual Eurofair event will be happening on Thursday, February 10th!)
Students chose their countries.
Please remember to go online over the weekend and familiarize yourself with the Lonely Planet website: www.lonelyplanet.com
This will be one of the best resources for the project (and for the course in general!)
Have a great, safe weekend!
